In 2021, the Town began environmental review of a proposal for a seven-level, 176-unit multifamily development, marina, new pier, and parking on a 7.17-acre site that included underwater land.
The Town later held a hearing on the draft environmental impact statement. Officials have since described that earlier application as abandoned after the final review did not advance.
The earlier review created an extensive public record about scale, traffic, infrastructure, environmental conditions, and promised waterfront benefits. Those questions should inform any future application rather than disappear with the prior one.
